This photo postcard, mailed in 1906, with its oracular "EYES" sign and blend of early automobiles and horse-drawn carriages, pedestrians and bicycles, on Nicollet Avenue in Minneapolis, was addressed to Miss Exel LeDuc of L'Anse, in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan:
