About Me

My photo
Adalbert is a forum for me, to post ephemera, photography, poetry, occasional travel notes, and various spontaneous motions. Cover photo: Parsonage where my great-grandfather spent his early years. Taken near Liegnitz, Silesia, ca. 1870. The "xothique" portion of the web address is a nod to Clark Ashton Smith's fictional continent of Zothique.

  2. Great photograph. The guy on the right in the leather jacket looks like he came on horseback with his jodhpurs and riding boots.

  3. Lisa, they do look as if they're in the middle of an important event, perhaps a move or change in circumstances. The woman with the baby seems very young. Ray, the guy is striking, looks as if he's a character in a old movie. The sagebrush in the background of the scene might set the scene east of the Cascade mountains here, or in some other semi-desert area.
