About Me

My photo
Adalbert is a forum for me, to post ephemera, photography, poetry, occasional travel notes, and various spontaneous motions. Cover photo: Parsonage where my great-grandfather spent his early years. Taken near Liegnitz, Silesia, ca. 1870. The "xothique" portion of the web address is a nod to Clark Ashton Smith's fictional continent of Zothique.

  1. Really interesting looking country, barren!...I like that. Is that a faint image of the moon I see in the picture?

    1. Seems to be a spot on the camera lens, actually, Ray, or maybe a defect with the camera, after I've seen it in other photos. Cleaning the lens didn't help. Maybe time to get another one.

    2. It kind of enhances the photo, though, I'll leave it there.

    3. I've taken the 'moon' out.
When my computer crashed last year I lost your email address. If you'd like a 'moonless' version of that image get in touch via my blog and I'll email it to you.

  2. That area is refreshingly desolate, Ray. Strange, that wasn't the moon, but I see the orb you mention. I don't know how it got in there.
