Maryhill Museum and Columbia River, Washington

I can extract some memories of things past concerning trips to Maryhill Museum, Sam Hill's (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samuel_Hill) bleakly Quixotic manse:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maryhill_Museum_of_Art.   I have memory traces of Rodin sculptures, Russian icons, First Nations basketry, and other works.

  1. It looks like a nice interesting small museum, located in the middle of nowhere.

    You don't remember a full-size astronomically-aligned reproduction of Stonehenge?

  2. Yes, the Stonehenge replica is pretty cool as well. The monument is reproduced in a way that shows all the lintels still in place, as one can see in photos.
