Thanks Lisa, it had been about 20 years since I'd visited Maryhill and the Stonehenge replica even though it's not terribly far for me! Quite a story of how the museum came to be.
To do it properly they should have constructed two highways next to it (I still remember how perplexed I was when I found out about the actual surroundings of the mystical Stonehenge).
This replica is in an isolated, semi-desert spot with very little population around. I'll have to go up there in my white "Druid" robes on the solstice next Friday.
I hadn't heard of the Maryhill Museum, how interesting. More complete than Stonehenge was my thought before I scrolled down and read the post.
