An interesting gravestone, it's amazing how some of the inscriptions survive over time. When they put wording on gravestones now, it barely lasts 20 years. The link to 'A Trip Journal' took me to the sign in page for tumblr.
Ha ha, thanks to both of you for alerting me to the broken link. I redid it and it should work now. Rob, I don't know who Christopher Gardner is. I took the photo because I liked the image and engraving (taken in Boston). Lisa, you're correct, I've seen much more recent gravestones than this which are illegible.
So who is this Christopher Gardner? I googled him but could find a thing. A famous pirate? One of your ancestors?
ReplyDelete(BTW the link points to a generic tumbler page).
