Adalbert is a forum for me, to post ephemera, photography, poetry, occasional travel notes, and various spontaneous motions. Cover photo: Parsonage where my great-grandfather spent his early years. Taken near Liegnitz, Silesia, ca. 1870. The "xothique" portion of the web address is a nod to Clark Ashton Smith's fictional continent of Zothique.
Ray, the original is 8' by 10' -- quite large for such a photo. I don't have the slightest idea who they are but from the clothing the picture looks to be in the 1940s.
A wonderful photo, there's something very real about this type of photo, people as 'themselves' in their own environment.
ReplyDeleteI agree Lisa, the three people have a lot of character and dignity.
ReplyDeleteA great photo and group portrait, I wondered about the size, 6x4 or bigger?
