Adalbert is a forum for me, to post ephemera, photography, poetry, occasional travel notes, and various spontaneous motions. Cover photo: Parsonage where my great-grandfather spent his early years. Taken near Liegnitz, Silesia, ca. 1870. The "xothique" portion of the web address is a nod to Clark Ashton Smith's fictional continent of Zothique.
One of my favorite books is the Artaud Anthology published by City Lights. I've also read 'Artaud' by Martin Esslin, which left me with a great admiration for the man. The Anthology is always worth going back to. Oddities V is great considering how young you were.
I appreciate the kind words Ray. At the time we were limited to mail order and placing copies in local bookstores, so I felt the urge to redistribute the material after so many years. Impasto Artaud was one of many aliases we used -- a friend of mine (the editor) created this page. I have the City Lights Artaud anthology as well. I can't remember if it's in this book or elsewhere, but I really enjoyed his writings on Mexico, Van Gogh, and other works. Of course, Artaud was an excellent actor as well. I haven't read Esslin's book, but sounds good.
