About Me

My photo
Adalbert is a forum for me, to post ephemera, photography, poetry, occasional travel notes, and various spontaneous motions. Cover photo: Parsonage where my great-grandfather spent his early years. Taken near Liegnitz, Silesia, ca. 1870. The "xothique" portion of the web address is a nod to Clark Ashton Smith's fictional continent of Zothique.

Second Growth & Aggregation (two poems)

Photo: Columbia River Gorge, 1984. The two poems are by me, from the early 1990s. They appeared in the Hampden-Sydney Poetry Review (Hampden-Sydney, Virginia), in the Winter, 1993 issue.

  1. Good stuff, Jonathan. You need one of those 'pens' that you follow the script with and save to download to your hard drive. Scanmarker Air Pen Scanner is one I saw online, although expensive at $99. The advertising looks OK, not to obtrusive.

    1. Thanks, Ray. When I wrote these poems back in the last century, I used a word processor with floppy disks (or before that, an electric typewriter)! PCs were still pretty rare. I looked up the Scanmarker device on your mention. Good information to have -- I've never seen one, thought I used some character-reading applications years ago.

    2. Also, good feedback on the ads. There are a lot of settings to work with. I'm still learning.
